Disclaimer

If you do not know me (I mean, really know me) then there is something you need to understand before you read this blog: I value the truth above everything else... except a good laugh. A good laugh will almost always beat the truth as far as I’m concerned. Everything you read on this blog will be true, somewhat true, or something I made up in an effort to get a laugh. Sometimes I will go on a rant that I don’t really mean (or only kind of mean). Sometimes I will mean what I write only to completely change my mind a year, month, or day later. Such is life. By reading this blog you agree not to get offended by anything I write (or, at the very least, you agree not to tell me or anyone else that you are offended). It is worth noting that my employer does not endorse my blog (or even read it, to tell you the truth). The Wife also does not endorse my blog (though she will read it from time to time). I am not paid to write this... it’s just my way of giving back to the community. I have, and will, touch on a wide range of subjects and will give my opinion on these subjects. Again, most of what I say is for laughs but every now and then I will say what I really think and feel (see my views on Westboro Baptist Cult). How will you know when I’m serious and when I’m trying to get a laugh? You’ll know. And if you don’t know, well... maybe this isn’t the best thing for you to be reading. So, sit back, read and enjoy. Vacation – Day 3

Another successful day on vacation has come and gone. We took a trip to the beach, which was somewhat of a disaster but we were able to fight through it. No one died and we’re all still friends…

We also spent another handful of hours at the Lazy River. There is a good chance I will leave this vacation waterlogged.

There was also an NCIS marathon on USA today… that’s always a good thing.

I'm now watching a new episode of Psych… could this day get any better?!

We’ve got a big day planned tomorrow. I’m not 100% sure what we’ll be doing… but I’m sure The Wife has something big planned.

Don’t forget JI is on TV tomorrow night… in case you are looking for a football game to watch. I’ll try to get my predictions for this week’s games up sometime tomorrow.

I wonder if there is a bar in this area where I can go to watch the big game?

If I find out that any other games will be on TV, I’ll let you know.

Know Your Medal of Honor Recipients:

Private Bruce Anderson (US Army) received his Medal of Honor for his actions on January 15, 1865 at Fort Fisher, North Carolina. His citation reads:

Voluntarily advanced with the head of the column and cut down the palisading.

Private Charles W. Anderson (US Army) received his Medal of Honor for his actions on March 2, 1865 at Waynesboro, Virginia. His citation reads:

Capture of unknown Confederate flag.

Captain Edwin A. Anderson (US Navy) received his Medal of Honor for his actions on April 22, 1914 during the Mexican Campaign. His citation reads:

For extraordinary heroism in battle, engagement of Vera Cruz, 22 April 1914, in command of the 2d Seaman Regiment. Marching his regiment across the open space in front of the Naval Academy and other buildings, Capt. Anderson unexpectedly met a heavy fire from riflemen, machineguns and l-pounders, which caused part of his command to break and fall back, many casualties occurring amongst them at the time. His indifference to the heavy fire, to which he himself was exposed at the head of his regiment, showed him to be fearless and courageous in battle.
